Shona shared the new strategy for the #EdFringe: "To give anyone a stage, and everyone a seat" with their three values of celebrating performing arts, being open to all and looking out for each other.
She shared exclusive statistics from the #edfringe survey on the night including:
- 76% of artists come to the Fringe for professional development opportunities
- 72% of artists cite reaching new audiences as the reason for coming to the Fringe
- 42% of artists have found new relationships or collaborations since the conclusion of the 2022 Fringe
- 71% of audiences take risks and attend events they wouldn't normally
As a country, we need to be proud of #edfringe and embrace its key role in our cultural calendar!

What is The Salonnière? A Salonnière was the inspiring host of a Salon, a conversational gathering that brought people together over food and art for a debate and discussion.
Our second delivered in early February at @ARedinburgh, looked at the importance of large events to our business and the leisure and tourism market with a panel chaired by @PaulBush8 who shared more on how Scotland has been established a world-leading events destination.
Menu development is always on our mind at Hickory, and this week our food development team have been trialling and testing some brand spanking new canapes – soon to be featured on our Hickory menus.
