No auge do Facebook existia um jogo que virou febre chamado Marvel: Avengers Alliance, desenvolvido pela Playdom. Era um RPG de combate por turnos relativamente simples, mas extremamente viciante, com centenas de heróis da Marvel disponíveis. Do herói mais famoso ao mais obscuro, todos estavam lá e cada personagem tinha poderes únicos e estratégias próprias. O modo PVP era extremamente desafiador e competitivo, atraindo (a raiva de) milhares de jogadores. O sucesso foi tão grande que o jogo chegou a ter painéis na San Diego Comic-Con, onde revelavam novidades dos próximos eventos (que hoje chamamos de temporadas). O game era bastante conectado ao universo dos quadrinhos. Quando saiu a saga Vingadores vs X-Men, houve um evento especial dentro do jogo. Teve também um evento dos Cavaleiros do Apocalipse, que se tornou um dos mais populares. Até os filmes inspiravam conteúdos exclusivos, e em alguns casos o jogo se antecipava aos quadrinhos, como no caso do Thane, filho inumano do Thanos, que apareceu primeiro no game. Foram tempos incríveis, lembro de entrar no jogo religiosamente todos os dias pra pegar as recompensas. Quem viveu essa época certamente lembra da febre que foi Avengers Alliance.
