During hate/knife crime, we had to decide who was the most suitable person just from how they looked.We realised that this was impossible as you cannot judge a book by its cover. Also,we learnt about staying safe on the bus in preparation for becoming more independent next year!

Further learning from @LifewiseCentre, child criminal exploitation. This is where crimes use children to commit crimes. We identified evidence that showed that Bailey was involved in crime. Then, we went in a magistrate’s court to see what could happen if you break the law!

@LifwiseCentre more crucial learning - road safety. Did you know 12 year olds are most likely to be knocked over in Barnsley! Also, water safety is crucial. We identified dangers both seen and unseen.

Crucial learning at Crucial Crew @LifewiseCentre. In these scenarios, we learned what to do in a fire and how to make a 999 call. Also, we learnt about hoax calls and the impact they can have.

This week we had a wonderful dance session with the West End all about Diwali. We had so much fun learning the moves and dancing the story.

As part of our RE learning about the 6 major religions and non-religious groups, we were also incredibly lucky to be joined by international scientist and humanist, Debbie Roberts, who shared her Humanist UK beliefs and encouraged us to be understanding, tolerant and respectful.
