In an effort to provide accommodations for individuals who needed a place to stay while they await connecting with their sponsors and transportation to their final destinations, I was proud to help split the cost with the City of Los Angeles.
Our partners on the ground included @CHIRLA, @LAHomeless, and other agencies. Together, we will continue to collaborate and demonstrate @CountyofLA’s compassion for immigrants.
While the cost of higher education has become enormous, wages have not risen, and to that end, many of our residents are saddled with crushing debt that impacts their financial well-being, economic mobility, and peace of mind. (3/4)
