Right. Gov. McDonnell made a temporary appointment that lasted about six months. My point is that the judge has served for thirteen years because the General Assembly elected and re-elected him to judicial office.

Enough already with the MAGA nonsense. We Democrats should not call a judicial decision we disagree with highly partisan. Have some respect for a judge who the VA Supreme Ct will correct if he's wrong. By the way, judges in VA are elected to office by the General Assembly.

Dismissal motion will be heard Wednesday, July 12 at 4:00 p.m. in Albemarle County Circuit Court. This marks the 125th anniversary of the racial terror lynching of John Henry James. The hearing is open to the public and it will be live streamed.
