Construction of the Norway pavilion and Maelstrom (then called SeaVenture) facade along with the opening to the attraction which saw guests almost fall over the waterfall!
The waterfall was closed when the attraction was converted to Frozen.
“Filming” of the fictional film, “Harbor Attack” as part of the preshow for the Backlot Studio Tour at Disney-MGM Studios.
This show relied on volunteers from the audience to play several roles in this show and warning, you would get WET.

While Maelstrom was in operation at the Norway pavilion in Epcot Center the waterfall on the outside of the attraction actually had an opening!
You could see the ride vehicles almost fall back, back, over the falls!
It was closed up for Frozen Ever After.

Originally, this icon was supposed to be located just outside of the gates of the park with each ear becoming a Ferris Wheel.
Later, it would be moved into the park and ultimately become a merchandise location.
