We can’t believe it’s the final day of our tour already. Still some amazing things to see before we head for Calais. Lots of evidence of war still present today at Pond Farm.
The weather forecast for Ypres is dry and mild for the next few days. But the ground can still be damp and muddy in places - don’t forget your walking boots/old trainers and a bag to store them in so they don’t dirty your case on the way home!

A huge thank you to Muskeen in Year 13 who presented her reflections from participation in @HolocaustUK#LessonsFromAuschwitz project on Friday afternoon to 60 Year 9 students. Students were captivated by your experiences and it was delightful to see them engage with your work 👏
“When we stop talking about something, then it is truly gone”
Words of wisdom from Year 12 student, Prehlaad, about why Holocaust education and using personal stories and names is so important today. A strong message shared to Year 8 about their roles as witnesses of the past.
Congratulations Prehlaad! A powerful demonstration of the impact peer education can have. Year 8 were gripped and wanted to hear more about your experiences and reflections from your visit to Auschwitz.
A huge thank you to Prehlaad in Year 12, who presented his reflections from participation in @HolocaustUK#LessonsFromAuschwitz project this afternoon to a Year 8 history class. Very thoughtful and important messages shared ahead of Genocide Prevention Day. Peer education win 👏

Well done Libby and Bella! 👏👏
So many parents stopped to tell us how impressive, knowledgable and confident you were. We’re so grateful you gave up your time to support the History department this morning, and lots of Year 6s were enthused for @RWBAHolocaust#HtFMeUs 🤩
Libby and Bella did a tremendous job at open morning talking to prospective parents and students about our @UCL_Holocaust Quality Mark status, @RWBAHolocaust#HtFMeUs project and other associated projects like #DiverseCity and @AnneFrankTrust work. Everyone was rightly impressed!
ETA at Highfields is 3am. Students will confirm as we get closer to home. Please do not park in the bus bay or on Boundary Way. The school car park will be open for parking.
Students and staff all checked in for return flight. We are advised that there is a 1 hour 50 minute delay. Approx departure time now 22:50pm. We will provide more updates and ask students to contact with more details when we have them.
