Our results show that ML-based proteomics models could identify preexisting lupus with excellent performance across independent cohorts and proteomic profiling platforms reaching a ROC-AUC of 0.96 ± 0.03.

In this population-based study from Olmsted County MN, we show that the incidence of CLE remained stable in the last four decades. Mortality in CLE patients was similar to that of general population. (SMR 1.23 95% CI, 0.88 to 1.66)

Increasing Risk of Lupus Nephritis
A population based study shows that LN in the US has increased in the last four decades and that LN patients have poorer outcomes with high rates of ESRD and mortality rates 6x that of the general population.
