Spain 82, and Mexico 86 are indelibly etched. But I also loved Italia 90 and USA 94.
The World Cups between the ages of 8 and 16 will always be the best in your head. Any younger you don't truly understand it yet and any older the magic goes out them.

There’s something karmic about this playoff final. The ‘Boro keeper might need to hire personal security.

While Wednesday's triumph is still sinking in, Aston Villa's ambitious leaders are already plotting how the club can crack on from this "catalyst" moment. #UTV #UTMV #AVFC youtu.be/5tKA2UbXdww

A simply amazing achievement given all the circumstances this year. The club can now start planning accordingly and go to Istanbul with some wind in the sails. #UTV

This PSG - Bayern game is just relentless, high-octane, pedal to the floor 5 star entertainment.

I’d pull all the players on yellows (Rogers McGinn Digne & Cash) at halftime to ensure Semi Final 1st Leg inclusion, and being fresh for Sunday. No point in risking anything. The Martinez yellow two years ago pre-Olympiakos was not helpful. #UTV

Scored in the searing midday heat, at suffocating altitude.
Has there ever been a more beautiful goal in football history? 😍 Brazil 🇧🇷 vs 🇮🇹 Italy (1970)

The road to Istanbul will be travelling through Birmingham, Bologna, Nottingham and Porto. Exciting.

I fully agree with this. The Championship is more interesting as a spectacle because you are judged on sporting merit, not how the size of your club impacts TV rights deals.
The Premier League is at an all time low. The football has become boring, there is corruption on and off the pitch, VAR has drained the life out of the game, fans are being priced out, and the schedule is all over the place. It’s becoming increasingly harder to enjoy

Interesting that in the Everton points deduction verdict the Premier League said “A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty” and that “the requirements of deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protection of the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction’. Presumably the Chelsea fine (which ultimately is just a deduction from what billion dollar Clearlake will pay to billionaire Abramovich from the £150m held back at the deal date) is then neither punishment, a deterrent or protecting the integrity of the sport? If I was an Everton or Forest fan would not be happy with this outcome.

I don’t recall it even being checked. Reverse the kits, and you have the referee looking at a monitor.
One of the chances everyone was booting about. Should have been a penalty. #avfc

What a great point this is.
Liverpool are £350m in debt and it’s been rising for the last 3-4 seasons, so it must not be that sustainable. Villa and Newcastle are debt free, but not allowed to spend as revenue is lower. The only way to go bankrupt is through debt. FFP has nothing to do with sustainability
