🚨 This past weekend, approximately 60,000 people gathered in Toronto for the Walk with Israel. It was the largest turnout ever for this event, and was, in all likelihood, the biggest gathering of Jews in Canadian history. So you would think that Canada's new Ministerial Advisory Council on Rights, Equality, and Inclusion - the very council that Prime Minister @MarkJCarney tasked with addressing antisemitism the week before - would have been there. And yet, not a single member of the council attended. And that matters.

So the Canadian government has sanctioned the Iranian regime, declared the IRGC a terror entity, but somehow our government-funded broadcaster, @CBCNews, gets permission to film inside Iran and promotes the trip on-air as a journalistic achievement? Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. It doesn’t grant access out of generosity. Authoritarian theocratic regimes allow in journalists they believe will serve their interests or help shape their preferred narrative. It’s worth asking: why did Iran decide CBC was worth letting in, especially during a direct conflict with Israel and the USA? @brodiefenlon, Canadians do not want our publicly-funded broadcaster cozying up to the top state sponsor of terrorism in the entire world!

Not only is this a non-story that amplifies anti-Israel activists, but your reporting leaves readers with the impression that all 72,000 Palestinians reportedly killed in the war were innocent civilians.
