Sunday thought: The UK tax code isn't a designed system; it's a random pile of 90 taxes and 1,180 complex reliefs. We’ve hit a 39% GDP burden, yet public services are starving. Tinkering won't work. We need to design a simple system built for growth.

Universal theme park and resort is coming to the UK: ✅ £5B private investment ✅ 28,000 jobs ✅ Upgraded roads & rail And yet people on here are still finding ways to moan about it. Cynicism won't fix this country, Ambition will!! Let’s get excited about big projects again!

This makes @Plaid_Cymru’s win even more impressive
If @Plaid_Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 come on top in the Senedd election, it will be a minor miracle. This is the scale of what they’re up against. 💷 Donations to political parties in 2025: Reform UK is the huge turquoise block at the top left. Plaid is the tiny green block at the bottom right.

The ONS data in the post below is a massive turning point. For the first time in 100 years, UK deaths are set to outpace births. 📉 We can’t just manage decline. To fund the NHS and our future, we need serious economic growth. It’s time to get the UK economy moving! 🇬🇧🚀
Last week, the ONS published their 2024-based population projections. One huge shift expected to arrive this year is that the number of births is set to fall below deaths. Our latest Substack considers what this means for public services and the economy➡️ buff.ly/DZEzpbc

We’re a rich country in debt, So let’s build our way out of it! Amazing infrastructure like HS2 and the Elizabeth Line aren’t just "costs," they are engines for growth. They create jobs today and productivity tomorrow. Stop-start building is a waste. Let's finish the job! 🚄🚆

not letting maccabi fans into villa park isn’t a an “anti jewish” thing it’s just the fact that their fans are notorious cunts, i didn’t see any “villa are anti polish” tweets when legia warsaw fans weren’t allowed in a few years ago

The fact that your politicians will stand up for Israel. But not for Disabled People, Pensioners, Immigrants or against War Crimes. Should disgust everyone.

And this is the reason why they are banned! Not because they are Jewish
Maccabi Tel Aviv fans in Athens last year. Keir Starmer, the entire British class and the mainstream media have chosen racist Israeli hooligans over their own citizens and local residents of Birmingham. The level of gaslighting is bonkers.

1,600 English football hooligans were banned from attending the 2024 Euros. Banning hooligans from attending football matches abroad is neither unusual nor a bad thing. Don't remember politicians saying that was wrong ... Quite the opposite.

Imagine being more outraged at the banning of football fans than the mass slaughter of 70,000 men, women and babies. Imagine being that person.

Britain’s decline didn’t happen overnight! It’s been 30 years of drift. ▪️ Productivity down ▪️ Public investment down ▪️ Wages stagnant No quick fixes! But we can rebuild with long-term purpose 🇬🇧 Mission, not management.

Whether you agree with Trump or not , If he says he’s going to do something, He gets it done! Something every U.K. politician could learn from 🇬🇧

Britain has the highest tax burden in 70 years… yet services are collapsing. We’re not overtaxed, we’re under-delivered. 🇬🇧 What would you cut or change to make the system actually work?

Here’s why Poland is doing well while Britain is stagnating 👇 ▪️ Investment-led growth: Poland has spent heavily on infrastructure, industry, and education since joining the EU. It used EU funds strategically to modernise transport, digital networks, and energy! Things the UK underinvested in for over a decade. ▪️ Manufacturing powerhouse: Poland kept its industrial base. It produces and exports real goods…from machinery and electronics to car parts…rather than relying on financial services like the UK. ▪️ Stable, predictable policies: Poland’s governments (even when populist) have maintained relatively stable tax and energy policies, giving businesses confidence to invest. The UK’s constant U-turns….Brexit, mini-budget chaos, energy price shocks killed that stability. ▪️ Cheaper energy & lower debt: Poland’s energy costs are lower because it invested early in domestic generation (including coal and renewables). Meanwhile, the UK has layered green levies and borrowed heavily. ▪️ Population-driven efficiency: Unlike the UK, Poland’s growth isn’t inflated by mass immigration. Their productivity growth is real…driven by technology and skills, not population numbers. ▪️ National ambition: Poland still thinks like a “developing country on the rise.” Britain acts like a “former empire managing decline.” That cultural difference matters. 🇵🇱 In short: Poland built. 🇬🇧 Britain borrowed.

Britain has seen an acute living standards slowdown over the past 20 years. This has affected incomes across the distribution. A typical family today would be £20,000 richer if incomes had continued growing at the same rate since 2005, when the Foundation was founded. ⤵️ buff.ly/NuhNFF9

We’ve had 30 years of short-term politics. Britain needs a 30-year plan for housing, energy, and growth 🇬🇧 Do you think any party has one?
