Jane Goodall taught us that hope is a discipline, compassion is a choice (we all need to make) and every life—human or animal—deserves dignity. Her soft, kind voice echoed through forests and hearts alike. May we carry her light forward.
We have the choice to use the gift of our life to make the world a better place- or not to bother - Jane Goodall Thank you for bothering, Jane.

Something to ponder as you head out to vote today, for free. In the Library's Rosa Parks Papers collection, there's a receipt for the poll tax she had to pay to vote in Alabama in 1956. Poll taxes, a Jim Crow-era voter suppression tool, were not abolished federally until 1964.
