“it ( the ship attacked by the US Navy)!had no business being there.”
Where else would tankers involved in oil transport from the Gulf would be?
Not in this area?
If for genuine commercial reasons these tankers should not be in or near the Strait of Hormuz, what business has the US Navy to be there?
The victim is guilty?
Is it the argument that the killing of Indian seafarers by the US was justified under the circumstances?
They invited their own death by being where they should not have been?
If the US blockade is illegal then how can an attempt to bypass it be illegal?
I can see that the 'do something' lobby is in full force, among the politicians. What EXACTLY do you want India to do, pray tell. Bomb an American ship? throw out a few Americans? The harsh facts are these. That ship was not legally your property; it had no business being there. you lost lives, and the govt has acted exactly as it should and to the extent that it can. Beyond that, for gods sake, help the families with information, and all assistance locally. HAs a single opposition leader taken the trouble to find out how the wife of that sailor is doing? a little practical help and a little less posturing please.
