Reporter: Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number which came out this morning? Trump: No, I love it. I love the inflation.

This story is insane

We cannot leave any Houstonian behind. We need to prioritize combating illegal dumping - a significant public health crisis. Even if you live in a community where you don't see this every day, take a moment to think about the residents who do and join us in our fight for a safer, cleaner, more beautiful Houston.

The $120,000 wasted salary could have paid for the new trash fee for over 2000 working class Houstonian families. The Mayor’s $60,000 podcast he could have produced for free in a library could have paid the fee for over 1000 working class Houstonian families.

So Annise Parker, who openly said she was taking money from county contractors, outraised Letitia Plummer by nearly 10-to-1. Marty Lancton also raised nearly a half-million iirc, with some from contractors. I hope campaign managers are doing some reflection.

Elected Democrats need to endorse Plummer. It can start with 4 Democrats on Houston City Council on 2027 ballot for re-election—Castillo, Martinez, Panzarella & Salinas. Salinas likely will. Don’t ask for Dem support in 2027, if you are not active on campaign trail in 2026.

🗳️ A political upset just reshaped Harris County’s future. Former Houston City Council Member Letitia Plummer defeated former Houston Mayor Annise Parker in one of Texas’ most closely watched runoff races, signaling a possible shift in Democratic leadership toward a younger, more progressive generation. The race was expected to go the other way after a recent poll showed Parker with a sizable lead: bit.ly/4uL3SqE #Houston #HarrisCounty #TexasPolitics

Massachusetts is now the first state to certify a rideshare driver union after granting Lyft and Uber drivers' collective bargaining rights. This is the largest new private-sector union in over 85 years. 70,000 workers are now represented by the App Drivers Union.

Time must be made up so voters do not lose the chance to exercise their right.
BREAKING: All Fort Bend County polling locations are down. A bad file was uploaded which has shutdown the system. It’s not clear when it will be up and working. Election Administrator Chase Wilson tells me, “it did not sacrifice the integrity” of the election. @KPRC2

I encourage everyone to complete this survey. I'd also encourage you to remember that no department aside from HPD and Fire takes up more than 3% of the budget. So if you want more money for drainage, health, libraries, etc. let the city know!

I am horrified by the violent threats made against our Muslim and Jewish neighbors at Houston's Ismaili Center. Every Houstonian deserves to worship freely without the fear of attack. I will work closely with district leaders to support their working to keep congregations safe.
Court records accuse a Houston man of threatening Muslims and Jews at the newly opened Ismaili Center in April. houstonchronicle.com/news/ho…
