Students in Ancient Civ just finished learning about Medieval Japan. As part of their summative assessment they were tasked with creating a Lego sculpture of something they learned this unit. Now the other classes are jealous they didn’t get to use Legos! #sschat
Took a page out of @AmyWalkerKS@kwahaus book and used some playdoh for a review on causes of the Civil War! I think the kids had more fun playing with it than learning but a win is a win! #SSchat
I didn’t realize how small my white boards were until I had my students use the timeline cards by @HolocaustMuseum and @facinghistory readings. The use of these resources really helped my students grip the reality of the Holocaust. #SSchat
Today’s crew for the family festival. Very impressed with the leadership and energy of our FCCLA leaders. With the Teaching Young Learners class they planned today’s activities and called all vendors.
My heart is happy ❤️

Juniors in American History had some fun the other day reading if you give a mouse a cookie, a moose a muffin, and a pig a party. After reading these we used them as an example of appeasement and connected to Hitler's conquest of Europe. #Sschat

Last week of school calls for some lego action! Students in AH just finished learning about the Roaring 20's and were tasked with making something that they learned about. Needless to say the first time doing this was a huge success and the kids want to do this more! #sschat
