I was in second grade when I watched @SarahHughesNY win gold in Salt Lake City. I looked up to her so much, and now one of my own students selected Sarah Hughes to research for her Olympian Project! Perhaps she will become a future figure skater one day!

What happens when you give ACE kids three globes—two modern ones and one from the 1970s—and ask them to find Yugoslavia? Some confusion, insistence that it either is or isn’t on the globe, and a great introduction into our new mini-unit. @alabamagifted

Where in the world is Mrs. Hughes? 🎃 This was such a fun and meaningful trip! My 10th great grandmother, Margaret Scott, was accused of witchcraft and hung during the Salem Witch Trials. We visited her memorial to pay our respects and learn more about the history of Salem.
