India Today: Monsoon has vanished: Satellite images show rain collapse, India faces 64% deficit.
Satellite and IMD data show the southwest monsoon has sharply weakened across large parts of India. Meteorologists say upper-atmospheric winds are driving a significant monsoon pause even as rainfall may improve later this week.

This was an absolute surprise. Not the bird I ever was looking for. Saw It merrily hunting in and out of the bamboo thicket, and almost didn't click, thinking of it to be the Chestnut-Crowned Warbler.
