An increasingly UGLY looking flash flood threat for TX/LA Gulf Coast this week.
Stalled boundary, unusually high amounts of atmospheric moisture & a small (but mostly irrelevant) tropical development chance in the western Gulf combine for a dangerous set up. Net result is a potential, localized foot plus of rain in places that have been soaked lately. @foxweather

The environment for the current 10% disturbance in the BOC is highly unfavorable, and development prospects are much the same.
You essentially have 20kts of northerly shear that will advect a dry, subsident airmass into the wave envelope, not to mention the disturbance's limited time over water.
