This is why, because he already fired 14, made another 8 quit, and he forgot how many retired because change showed up. Make no mistake, Chief Paul and I have had heated disagreements about the police, but when he finds that a cop has violated the trust of the public and the law he deals with it. If you’re Black and think he did too much, then you don’t really understand our enemy. We will never truly fix things if we pretend these aggressions and actions aren’t happening. I believe we will see more arrest and charges. This is why when he was hired we as advocates wanted him, because he was from OUTSIDE of BRPD, he could see them clearly. You hear Councilman Moak address me because I don’t sit silent and let white leaders disrespect Black leadership. Or tell us what we need to fix an issue impacting us.
