Cutting the roster is beyond moronic to begin with. That's the quickest way to kill Smash Bros as an IP. Who tf is going to play it if their main is cut instead of just playing Ultimate? Besides what tf is the point of cutting characters when going to a more powerful console?
Here's my take on the whole "cutting the roster to 40 characters and adding newcomers" thing. I tried to stay unbiased, but you might see how some of my picks were a tad bit influenced by my taste in games. My 10 newcomers I want are ranked based on how badly I want them in Smash
