In today's NYSPHSAA vote, Sections 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11 opted to stay with their current policy of non-public and charter schools participation while collecting data the next two years. Sections 3, 8 and 9 voted to continue pursuing alternatives. Sections 1, 2 and 4 voted to move non-public and charters into their own postseason competitions.

How big is Section V? We approximately have 130 member schools . It takes about 5 hours roundtrip from one corner to the other driving. There are 12 counties covered across our membership. We have the most member schools of 11 sections in @NYSPHSAA. #SectionV
