Mrs. Sweimler's IB Seniors celebrated the end of the year with a kindergarten day. They had snacks, read Oh, the Places You'll Go, and made a hot air balloon craft in their college colors.

Our intrepid Physics students were the first to sit for exams last week. Over the course of four weeks, our IB Seniors will take between 15-18 exams in pursuit of their IB Diplomas.

Congratulations to the Dewey Decimators, a team of English teachers including IB teachers Mr. Fipps and Mrs. Sweimler, for winning the CPS Educators Battle of the Books. They took home the bookworm trophy as well as $1,000 for the OSHS library!

Award-winning poet, Phoenix Banks has been selected to serve as the Hampton Roads Youth Poet Laureate Ambassador for Chesapeake. In addition, she recently won first place in the Longwood Young Writers Competition for her poem βBlack Like Coalβ. @OscarSmithHigh
