Sherrill will serve as interim executive director of the Georgia Tech's Institute for Data Engineering and Science (IDEaS). Sherrill has served as associate director for IDEaS since its founding in 2016, and he succeeds Regents' Professor Srinivas Aluru, who became the new senior associate dean of the College of Computing.
