Dr. Scott Angle (@IFAS_VP) shared how @UF_IFAS is developing strong science that demonstrates the benefits of diversifying farming, including new conservation hubs, partnerships with various agencies, quick reference guides and cost share programs. "The combined threats of rising input costs, volatile markets, extreme weather and pests can threaten farmers’ bottom lines and make it more economically attractive to plant that final crop: rooftops," he said. Last week, we celebrated the groundbreaking of our new Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture. This space will be the cradle for advancements in agricultural technology. We would like to thank the state legislature for its generous funding and the farmers' and processors' embrace of innovation that made this all possible.
