June 10th marks the second International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations. On this special occasion, I’m delighted to attend the seminar on China’s Global Civilization Initiative (GCI) in a Changing Geopolitical Landscape organized by @IGD_SA. GCI, put forward by President Xi Jinping in 2023, clearly points out that different civilizations can absolutely coexist in harmony and strengthen each other through mutual learning. This is a clear way forward for civilizations to rise above clashes and safeguard world peace. [On-Air] Diplomatic tensions are rising across the continent over reported hostility toward African migrants in South Africa. Countries including Nigeria and Ghana have raised concerns about the safety of their citizens, formally engaging South African authorities. The situation has sparked debate around migration, regional relations, and the potential economic impact if African nations reconsider trade, business, and investment ties with South Africa. Mikatekiso Kubayi (@Mikatekiso), Global Political Economy Expert at the Institute for Global Dialogue (@IGD_SA), associated with @unisa, joins @LifeWithThami to discuss. #AfricaInBusiness #ChannelAfricaTurns60 #ChannelAfrica #Politics #BusinessNews
