🏆RTÉ’s Greg Allen received the Jimmy Magee Award for Sports Coverage. Paying special tribute was 3-time Major Champion Pádraig Harrington.⛳️

Great day out at a magnificent @IslandGolfClub for the Mary McKenna Trophy, our annual championship. Mary McKenna herself came along and the course was a fantastic test. The new champion is Brian Flanagan with 35pts. Humphrey Kelleher was a great host. Thanks to all.

It was lovely to be able to make a little presentation to Vanessa O’Brien on behalf of the IGWA to thank her for her help as she departs for new challenges after 31 years with the @DPWorldTour. Hope to see Vanessa return to help her former colleagues at @TheAdareManor in 2027.

Regrettably, we have had to cancel tomorrow’s Irish Golf Writers’ Awards lunch, sponsored by @anantaradublin and @AIGIreland due to the red weather warnings nationwide.
Hopefully we will see the all our 2024 and 2025 winners at the end of this season.

Just to acknowledge the great work that @amateur_info (Garry Murphy) does to keep the amateur golf game in focus all year. Just about all the Irish stars of the pro game had big amateur careers before they were famous so this is where the seeds are sewn & it’s a vital resource.👏
