This week, SIBA lost one of our most loyal. Our brother, @DubThompson_, was tragically killed when he was struck by a car while riding his ebike. The loss has left a chasm in his family that can never be replaced, as well as within his #SOE fam. Dub loved this league, and most everyone in it. He looked forward to the future of SIBA & what it meant for guys like him. Guys who weren't the most skilled behind the controller, was never gonna be invited to the comp group chats. But in SIBA, like so many others in similar circumstances, he found a home. A place where his desire to play the game he loved, with the people he loved playing with, would be protected. A place where he can find ways to contribute to the community more off the court than on. He coached up so many current 2k pro am "stars", & coaching and running a team was something he enjoyed almost as much as playing. We're never gonna forget you, Dub. We miss you. Reflection is important as human beings & as we hit the end of another college hoops season, I do a lot of it. Grateful & proud are understatements!!! First season doing this all full time has taught me a lot, I try to continuously learn & grow but this season has felt different. Launching the pod, hosting a live event for 100 people, connecting with tons of players & coaches, traveling all over the nation because of this sport has been so enjoyable. And to do it all independently makes me proud of myself & the sport for adapting. I have put more effort & hours into work than ever before in my life building it all in an untraditional way - some people don’t like that because it’s *different* and that’s fine, truly (but I’m not going anywhere 😁). You can carve your own lane in your life, don’t always have to follow in the paths of others. Thank you to the fans for making the sport great & always showing love to me. Thank you to the programs, coaches, players & staffs for opening their doors to me & working together. Shoutout to Homefield & partners for making things happen. And special one to Jess, Adam, Evan & the fam for continuous love & support. Most important shoutout to Sophie & Reese too, my girls. ONE SHINING MOMENT 🙌 #MarchMadness

I watched every single game during the Tommy Amaker years when Michigan missed the tournament for 10 years. I grew up in the 90’s and was constantly reminded of the legendary Fab Five coming up just short. I watched Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway lead us to natty in 2013 but lose. I was in the house in San Antonio when Beilein lost his second chance at a natty to Villanova in 2018. And now, Dusty May and the Michigan Wolverines have won a National Championship! This is for Stu Douglas. This is for Jordan Morgan. This is for Manny Harris. This is for all the guys who contributed to Michigan slowly climbing the mountain back from irrelevance to dominance. I was 2 years old when ‘89 Glen Rice squad won Michigan’s only Natty. My dad would tell me stories about that team. And now my son Woodson, at 2 years old, is seeing Michigan win their second championship in program history. He won’t remember it. But I’ll tell him all about it! Go Blue!
