A great supply chain doesn't happen by accident. It's built link by link — the right facility, the right warehouse partner, the right carrier, the right forwarder. That's why we're proud to spotlight five companies in the 2026 Inbound Logistics Logistics Planner that together cover the full picture: 🏭 @CenterPointProp — Industrial real estate strategically located near ports, rail, and major distribution corridors. Before product moves, it has to live somewhere smart. 📦 @WSI_Logistics — One of the largest privately held 3PLs in the U.S., with 60 years of experience turning warehousing and distribution into a competitive advantage. 🚛 @LandstarSystem — A technology-enabled, asset-light transportation network spanning truck, rail, air, ocean, and specialized freight — with the flexibility to handle whatever your shipment demands. 🌎 @TriNatInc — Cross-border transportation specialists connecting the U.S., Canada, and Mexico with the reliability and expertise that North American supply chains depend on. ✈️ @approvedfreight — International freight forwarding expertise that keeps your global shipments moving, compliant, and on time. From the ground your facility sits on to the last mile of an international shipment — these are the partners built to keep every link in your supply chain strong. 👉 View their full profiles in the 2026 Logistics Planner: inboundlogistics.com/all-log…

Big news for businesses managing freight: @amazon just expanded LTL service beyond its own network. Amazon Freight's LTL offering has served tens of thousands of Amazon sellers since 2019. Now, it's open to all businesses, offering shipping to third-party warehouses, distribution centers, and retail partners. What this means in practice: • Ship 1–6 pallets (150–15,000 lbs) to wherever your freight needs to go • Real-time GPS tracking from pickup to delivery • Pickup options including next-day and same-day via drop trailer • Access to 80,000 trailers and 24,000 intermodal containers • EDI integrations with existing supply chain systems The differentiator? Users are reporting faster transit times and lower costs compared to traditional LTL carriers, a combo that's usually hard to come by. This is all part of Amazon's broader play to externalize the logistics infrastructure it spent nearly 30 years building. Industrial and B2B companies are likely to take a serious look at how this stacks up against their current freight partners. Is Amazon Freight on your radar — and what would it take for you to make the switch?

Are warehouse inefficiencies costing you in a big way? Mark McCullough, CEO of @GWWorld North America, thinks so. In our latest guest editorial, he breaks down the 5 hidden cost categories every logistics leader should know: 1️⃣ Labor inefficiencies: Poor layout = wasted steps, overtime, and staffing bloat 2️⃣ Inventory misalignment: Wrong storage = excess handling and slower fulfillment 3️⃣ Transportation disconnects: Missed windows and idle docks spike costs fast 4️⃣ Error & rework costs: Manual systems drive returns, reships, and complexity 5️⃣ Reputational costs: Inaccurate shipments hurt retention and brand trust 📖 Read the full article here: inboundlogistics.com/article…

Thieves aren't breaking into trailers anymore. They're booking the loads. Deceptive freight pickup schemes jumped 31% year-over-year in Q1 2026 (Overhaul), even as overall theft incidents fell 25%. We looked at how the industry is responding to this shift. @amazon goes above and beyond to vet every carrier and driver in its network. Highway blocked nearly 2 million fraudulent emails in 2025, and Verified Carrier's new dock-side identity verification tool confirms who actually shows up to pick up the freight. [Content Partner Post] Most 3PLs don't realize how much margin they are losing to systems that don't fit their operations, until they see the alternative. Logistics is complicated enough. Your software shouldn’t be. When Liquex Logistics was scaling their multi-client operations, they faced a choice: add more administrative headcount to manage the admin, or bring the chaos to a calm, and scale with agility that matches their operations. They chose clarity. Connecting their WMS and TMS operations with @carton_cloud's integrated 3PL system, they eliminated duplicate workflows, plugged revenue leakage from missed charges, and gave their clients self-serve portal visibility. We build software to let you run your operations the way you need to—with a practical focus on what actually works on the floor. ✔ Purpose-built: An integrated WMS TMS platform designed by logistics people, for logistics people. ✔ Fast implementation: Average onboarding takes around 6 hours, not months. ✔ Enterprise capability: Complex multi-client billing, advanced rating, and smart route optimization without the legacy software price tag. ✔ Expert, local support: Explore our comprehensive online feature knowledge base, or speak to a human. Our expert support team are locally based and ready to help. See the software in action and the difference a system built to let you grow can make. Supply chains have more data than ever. So why are so many organizations still struggling to make fast, confident decisions? We put that question to Mike Medeiros of Penske Logistics on our podcast — and the answer is all about the struggle for data you can truly trust. Systems have evolved, he says, but mostly in silos: Best-in-class TMS. Best-in-class WMS. But getting a single, trusted view across the entire supply chain is still the hard part. What's your experience? Are your teams data-rich but insight-poor? Let us know in the comments. Watch the full video podcast here: inboundlogistics.com/video-p…

What We Learned About Warehouse Automation at MODEX 2026 🤖Walking the MODEX show floor this year, it was clear to us that the automation conversation has matured. Operators are looking beyond flashy gimmicks and are laser focused on finding automated solutions that are proven, scalable, and running today. We spoke with technology leaders across robotics, goods-to-person systems, and yard and dock operations, among others, and they all echo the need for a realistic automation approach. Here's what companies including Swisslog, AutoStore™, Automha S.p.A., Attabotics, Kardex, Yard Management Solutions, and Kaleris told us they are doing to close the gap between automation ambition and automation reality: -Deploying AS/RS and goods-to-person systems that maximize throughput in tight footprints — including deep-freeze environments. -Using AMRs and mobile cobots to automate handoffs between storage and the dock. -Bringing intelligence to the yard and dock, where delays have historically been invisible and expensive. -Building systems designed to scale incrementally, without requiring a full shutdown or rip-and-replace. We'd love to hear from you: What automation investment has actually moved the needle in your operations? Drop your experience in the comments and keep the conversation going.

High freight costs? Inefficient workflows? Before you rush into a massive network redesign, make sure you're diagnosing the right problem. Many organizations fail to extract meaningful value from their logistics because they confuse macro strategy with micro execution. In our latest guest editorial, Alan Miller, President of @TransportGistic introduces a modern framework to help supply chain leaders look at both layers independently, yet execute them cohesively. Stop treating symptoms and start fixing the root causes.👇 inboundlogistics.com/article…

A 1,000-page surface transportation bill dropped last week. The BUILD America 250 Act has to clear Congress before Sept. 30, and the headline numbers are big. Here's a breakdown: 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 pages in the bill $𝟱𝟬𝗕 earmarked for bridges, marking the the largest bridge investment in U.S. history 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 federal framework for autonomous trucks 𝟭𝘀𝘁 new funding mechanism for the Highway Trust Fund in 30 years (an annual fee on EVs and plug-in hybrids) $𝟳𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 — what a broker has to post in surety bond today. A motor carrier? $750,000 in liability coverage minimum. Section 5006 moves to close that gap with enforced broker qualification rules. 𝟮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 for DOT to finalize broker experience and qualification requirements with a Congressional check-in every 6 months until it's done 𝟭𝟵𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 drivers sitting in prohibited status in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse as of mid-2025. Hair testing, also in the bill, could move that number higher. 𝟭𝟰𝘅 — how many more drivers failed a hair test vs. a urine test in a University of Central Arkansas study of 151,000 applicants. Urine alone isn't telling the whole story. What's on your radar from this one? Sept. 30 is closer than it seems. #Logistics #SupplyChain #FreightPolicy #BUILDAmerica250
