On Tuesday, in the Iraqi capital,
@shellykittleson was kidnapped under still unclear circumstances. According to
#Iraq’s Interior Ministry, security forces immediately launched an operation based on what it described as “precise intelligence,” intercepting one of the vehicles believed to belong to the kidnappers. The car overturned as it attempted to flee. Kittleson was not inside. Local reports place the abduction near the Baghdad Hotel on Saadoun Street—a central, busy area, crossed daily by civilians, workers, and journalists.
That detail matters. It signals something deeper: nowhere is truly safe.
