ICAR-NBPGR unveils its Golden Jubilee Logo, marking 50 years (1976–2026) of conserving India’s plant genetic wealth.

Under #KhetBachaoAbhiyan, a team of scientists organized Farmers–Scientists Interaction Meets at Jhundpur and Jajal villages, Sonipat (Haryana) on 11 June 2026. Farmers were sensitized on natural farming, green manuring, biofertilizers and balanced fertilizer use. 🌱🌍
Under Week 2 (08–12 June 2026) of the #KhetBachaoAbhiyan, ICAR-NBPGR Bhowali conducted farmer training and Krishak Goshtis in Sirodi, Unedi, Nagarigaon and Bhowali Sanatorium area. A total of 51 farmers participated, promoting natural farming and sustainable nutrient management.
On June 11, 2026, under MGMG programme, a team of scientists from ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi interacted with farmers in Bhupania and Shahpur villages of District Jajjar, Haryana under the #KhetBachaoAbhiyan campaign.
On 12th June 2026, Khet Bachao Abhiyan cum MGMG Team 9 of ICAR-NBPGR comprised of Drs Sandhya Gupta, SK Yadav, DP Semwal, Sheel Yadav and Pooja Kumari visited Kair and Surheda villages in South West Distt of Nazafgarh zone, New Delhi.
A group of researchers from ICAR-NBPGR , viz. Dr Hanuman, Dr Nidhi , Dr Era Vaidya , and Dr Anil carried out the Khet Bachao Abhiyan program in the villages of Deepalpur and Makimpur in Sonipat district on 12.06.2026 to raise awareness about soil health and food security
On 12th June 2026, #KhetBachaoAbhiyan Team of ICAR-NBPGR visited Kair and Surheda villages in South West Distt of Nazafgarh zone, New Delhi. The awareness campaign for balanced use of fertilizers, natural farming, green manure was attended by 30 farmers.

As a part of #KhetBachaoAbhiyan, a team Scientists from ICAR-NBPGR, RS, Akola visited two villages Yeota and Shivapur in Akola District of Maharashtra on 11 June 2026. Farmers were appraised about the long term benefits of using organic manures and bio-fertilizers.
A team of five scientists interacted with farmers on 10th June 2026 in Jhuljhuli and Ujjwa villages of South-West Delhi. Discussions focused on the judicious use of fertilizers, promotion of natural farming practices and the importance of soil health testing.
