It's always amusing when people say stuff like this and then immediately block. Seems like a reliable indicator that they would never say anything remotely this hostile to anyone's face, but they enjoy feeling tough on the internet.

Lol okay. Another faceless anon account with frequently ignorant takes and a totally unwarranted ego. You won't be missed in my feed.

the dogpile on this is monumentally fucking retarded. he talks all day. he is asked specific questions. his job is not to be "on message" 100% of the time. what SHOULD be and how things really are, is a seperste conversation. you SHOULD be able to live in your hometown, fren. you SHOULD be able to thrive on far lower wages than are required now, comrade. unfortunately thats not how things are, and in the meantime you need to navigate reality.

I mean, that's part of why they do it. They know they'll never face any meaningful consequences. We incentivize them to continue by never making them face any meaningful consequences.
Does the Left understand how lucky they are that the Right doesn’t riot?

Interesting for a number of reasons, although I'd be willing to bet that there's significant overlap between these two categories.
Men are 4x more likely to be a millionaire than have a 6 pack. % of US men with a visible six-pack: ~2.5% % of US men who are millionaires: ~12%

No, it's not. It's false. It's fake. The animated photos are untrue. It's just a small lie but it is still a lie. Your dead father never acted that way, never moved that way, never did that thing. We need to reject the small lies because they make way for larger lies

The thing where people animate a photo of a dead loved one is actually fine. You guys all freak out about it because you’ve read too many sci-fi books, and you immediately start prophesying doom. But nothing will happen to them. They’ll be fine.

The most banal-but-accurate argument that the USA is not "sitting on stolen land" is simply that conquest after honorable war was not regarded as "theft" under any major European or Indian legal code. Similarly, it's nonsensical to say that all parents in the past were "child abusers," all soldiers were "war criminals," etc - because none of the civilized people(s) who existed in past eras used modern legal or ethical definitions FOR those things. The ancestors burned rapists alive...but their definition of "rape" did not include a husband having sex with his wife after a short argument about it or a shared bottle of wine. So, I mean, there's that.

(3) Without saying anything controversial here, beyond the thesis itself: it's remarkable how UN-sympathetic Gaza is. The place is an anti-Western, anti-feminist, semi-dictatorship run by literal Arab terrorists. In the last election they actually held, Hamas won IIRC 76% of the vote. Israel IS hard on the region, but this is largely because it's worst-in-the-world leadership has rejected seven serious peace proposals, while launching three major intifadas against the Jews. The ONLY reason Western leftists like these people, bluntly, is that they are decently good at killing Westerners. However, they are now discovering the price of doing so.

Any possibility of "subtext" is erased by saying "my jeans are blue." Takes it from a potential Nazi-coded message ("potential" is doing a ton of heavy lifting here) to a bad, goofy pun that's only acceptable because a hot girl said it. The fact that you share the same level of stupidity required to see this as a Nazi message as the neo-Nazis on X does not make this a Nazi message.
*failed sophomore English voice* There surely isn't any subtext here!

It's such a sad thing, really. I think it would still be predicated on some unhealthy root causes, but these men could simply be men who enjoy makeup and dresses and don't try to delude themselves into believing they're something like actual women. One of the most ridiculous things about the trans movement is that it claims to be blowing up the concept of gender and stereotypes while really only reinforcing them. "If you're a man who likes makeup and dresses, you're probably actually a woman!" Or, maybe, anyone can enjoy the things they enjoy while not denying basic aspects of reality. Novel concept, I know, but consider it.

"we kept convincing each other that we pass" is the entire movement in one sentence

You said you would trade your civil liberties for what China has. That's more than an endorsement. You should absolutely move there. Or are you already living there, anonymous pretend-patriot account?
It's a sign of low IQ to be incapable of acknowledging positive traits of a thing without fully endorsing it.

I didn't say you're an idiot. I said your behavior in this instance is ridiculous and strongly implied it's unbecoming of a philosopher/intellectual. Your post only adds weight to my point.
Hahaha - you don't understand someone described as "brilliant." "He MUst bE an IdiOt!" Amazing!

This guy is supposed to be a brilliant modern philosopher. Is this rage bait or does he really not understand the point of what Watts was saying here? Either way, ridiculous behavior from a guy who claims to be an intellectual.
If my ancestors hadn’t worried about food, we wouldn’t have made it through the winter you pretentious douchebag.

A majority percentage, but that's irrelevant. All you can point to is a correlation, but if I can prove that one does not necessarily follow the other — which I can — then it's a strawman. "I don't believe in God" does not require worship of the state, or worship of/adherence to a political party or agenda, or really anything at all beyond an assertion that one does not believe in something. I'm an atheist who views abortion as abhorrent, never sought or received a COVID vaccine, have never supported or voted for a Democrat in my life, believe "climate change" is one of the key pillars of a misanthropic cult, and have a dim view of the state as a general rule. If you're just making generalizations about how atheists tend to behave, then I'm right there with you. But that's a discussion about motivations and why atheism is attractive to certain kinds of people. It's incorrect and/or disingenuous to assert that atheism itself is the problem.
What percentage of atheists support the Democrat party?

A single human life is not "worth more than any property." Any sane person would shoot a rioter with a fire-bomb, to prevent a beloved family business from being burnt down, even if this would kill no one. An enemy's life has traditionally been valued at less than nothing, and this is correct. The pretense that human life has some ultimate, almost infinite value is often useful, but we're entering a period where reality may be necessary.
Both things are true though. A single human life is worth more than any property. However, protecting the human lives of your family is more important than protecting a criminal who has broken the societal covenant of invading another person's private space with bad intentions.

So you understand the concept of something that might be bad in-and-of-itself accomplishing a worthy goal?
This account is monetized and the funds go to my campaign. So I would personally like to thank every MAGA in the comments for helping buy yard signs.

- Iran has carried out direct and indirect hostile actions against the United States since the late 70's. Not only are these actions well documented beyond plausible deniability, Iran has loudly and proudly taken credit for them. - A component of the previous point: Iran has funded and supplied the Houthis in Yemen with the resources necessary to launch strikes at American and European ships in the region and shut down much of the shipping traffic in the Red Sea. Using a proxy does not absolve you of involvement, as libertarians like Josie will be so quick to remind us when we're talking about Israel or Ukraine. - The Barbary Wars were not only fought in international waters, but also on "the shores of Tripoli," which is why that line exists in the Marine Corps Hymn. They even conquered a fort. This is off the top of my head, but even with just those three points, her argument falls apart.
Since I’m blocked by whoever this very pretty, but not very bright woman is, I’ll explain 8 ways the Barbary pirates are not Iran. Who on earth is telling you guys to use this talking point? Stop it. It’s embarrassing. First, unlike Iran, the Barbary pirates had initiated force on America, capturing sailors, and holding them for ransom. Second, unlike Iran, Tripoli had declared war on America when Jefferson entered office in 1801, because they weren’t happy with America’s lack of “paying them tribute.” (Extortion/coersion) Third, unlike Iran, this was dealt with in international Waters Fourth, unlike Iran, Congress used the constitutional provision to “provide the common defense” in this case (see source documents). Fifth, this was one of the cases that helped outline the war powers act. Sixth it took 14 years and James Madison following up, but Tributes were abolished. Seventh, unlike, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan this was all defensive. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison didn’t regime change the Barbary Pirates, decimate their land, starve their people, let them invade our country after, bankrupt America, change nothing, and leave them worse often than they were before. Eighth, abolish public school.
