I much prefer to come from the conduit when pts present with obstruction.Spares a nephrostomy & a lot kinder for the pt with no drain. Pt had misplaced stent.Came from conduit.Ureter cannulated, buddy wire, stent snared, new Bander stent sited.#IRad #withoutascalpel #uroradiology

Pt referred with uncontrollable fresh PR bleeding with shock. Great learning points. 1. All imaging must show all the GI tract. CT & 1st Angio of IMA did not show bleeding point as did not show whole anal canal. Pt continued to bleed heavily on table #irad #WithoutAScalpel

Tip for percutaneous biliary access. Don't inject contrast or hold the needle after successfully puncturing the duct as it often displaces the needle. Pass the wire down the needle and go by tactility and fluoroscopy. Definitely improved my first time access rates! #irad

Stand in the Left side of the patient, 10Fr sheath into the peg for flashing and contrast, 5 Fr Multi-purpose, hydrophilic wire. Usually works nicely.
