Dedicated to inspiring thought for business leaders to create optimal work environments in information technology. Promoting employee relations for equitable contributions. Placing value on people so that things are done well! We Inspire Thought. We I. T.
In multi-generational work environments, it’s important that managers protect younger employees from older employees who have not been in leadership roles, but desire to be “the boss”. Seniority does not automatically equal authority. 🤔 Title Check?
When leaders blur the line between professional relationship and friendship, things get messy. You’ve placed an insurmountable amount of trust into someone who reports to you, but it has left you in a position where you can’t make correction. 🤔
You need to take action immediately. Have a clear and honest conversation about the change that needs to occur. Explain that while you enjoy that person’s friendship, it is beginning (used lightly) to affect the dynamics of the work environment.
People with loud opinions are typically seeking validation/recognition for their contributions to a team. If their personality isn’t otherwise needy, a simple gesture such as lunch gift card and public thank you can lower the volume. #UseWIT
Don’t give toxic team members this attention. Correct the behavior. No one is irreplaceable, and while employees should be appreciated, they shouldn’t go as far as being disrespectful to leadership. #WorkisexpectedATWORK
🤔Dear Co-Worker,
You’re only a CO-worker. If you would like to be someone’s boss, you’ll have to degree, certify, or at the very least get a promotion. #knowyourrole#UseyourWIT 🤷🏾♀️ Anything with more than one head is a monster. 😂🤣😭
Job Seeker Hack:
If you're unemployed, stay active while you search... Volunteer, get certified, take classes, learn a new skill, read books that advance your talents.
Go into your next job better than you went into your last job.

Use your WIT. Just because some people have the ability to learn information does not mean they possess the ability to teach or train. Remember this when ramping up new employees, and choose those who have teaching ability to assist. #useWIT#corporate
💡Employees care about leadership that cares about them. Keep an eye out for our exploration into ways to show employee appreciation. Tag someone in a leadership position who cares about their employees.#businessleaders#techinfluence#humanresources#useWIT
😂 Use your WIT. Every employee isn’t plotting to overthrow you. Some people just want to do the work, be appreciated, and not be responsible for the entire kingdom. #useWIT#GameofThrones#businessleaders#GoT@GameOfThrones 🧝🏻♀️🧝🏼♂️🤴🏽👸🏾
Congratulations to the latest group of talented developers to complete our Entrepreneur Camp in Cupertino. Excited to see what these extraordinary female-founded companies achieve. We’re cheering for you!
Use your WIT. Good culture isn’t about everyone liking eachother. It’s about professionalism, mutual respect, and inclusion. A common goal and willingness to work together outweighs having “work friends”. Make the rules work. #useWIT#businessleaders
Use your WIT. Let’s face it, people in technology think differently. If “outside of the box” is the goal, Human Resources will have to get outside of the box to attract and maintain that type of talent. #useWIT#trynewthings#businessevolution#techinfluence
Use your WIT today. Find a team member who has leadership ability, but not the position and ask them for one thing that would improve their time management. If it’s feasible, implement it before this time next week. #usewit#askforfeedback
