i’m sorry but i love lorenzo, and i’m usually very hard to impress when it comes to men, but he's different. he and jasmine fought multiple times, yet when she was upset he never tried to make it about himself. he never threw shade at her being upset. he wanted to go and check on her, remaining calm and collected. honestly, i fully understand why jasmine got that upset, we all have moments where emotions get the better of us, and the guys did not stick up for her at all. what stood out to me was that lorenzo never made her feel bad, he validated her feelings and listened, being someone she could confide in, he absorbed the frustration. some people keep bringing up his slowness, but lorenzo is actually a perfect example of what emotional maturity looks like. maturity isn’t about being clever. maturity is knowing when your ego doesn’t need to win. and honestly watching him, i kept thinking that this is what care actually looks like. not grand speeches. not possessiveness. not making someone pay every time they hurt your feelings. just empathy, patience, respect and the ability to give grace to someone you love even when they’re not at their best. “it’s just love island” but it can be more, and i’m sure for them it will be more ❤️ #loveisland #loveislanduk
