Iโve never applied for a job in my life.
I got my first remote role through Instagram, and every job since has come from cold DMs and emails.
I see a lot of remote workers making the mistake of applying to dozens of roles and hoping something sticks. Sometimes it works, but often it doesnโt.
A better approach is to focus on building a strong portfolio and real experience first.
Then, identify companies you genuinely want to work with, do deep research on them, and reach out with thoughtful cold DMs and emails.
