Someone asked what advice founders ignore. That they: 1. Should change their name. 2. Should launch fast. 3. Shouldn't treat fundraising as success. 4. Shouldn't assume they can raise because it's time to. 5. Should fire bad people quickly. 6. Shouldn't talk to acquirers.

The thing that will make a VC want to fund you is not how well you match their (claimed) investment thesis. It's the same thing that will make every other VC want to fund you: how well you're doing.

This short article changed my life. Back in university, I kept coming back to it over and over again. Patrick originally wrote it for people aged 10โ€“20, but I still think itโ€™s incredibly valuable in your 20s and even 30s. You can read it here: patrickcollison.com/advice

Iโ€™ve never applied for a job in my life. I got my first remote role through Instagram, and every job since has come from cold DMs and emails. I see a lot of remote workers making the mistake of applying to dozens of roles and hoping something sticks. Sometimes it works, but often it doesnโ€™t. A better approach is to focus on building a strong portfolio and real experience first. Then, identify companies you genuinely want to work with, do deep research on them, and reach out with thoughtful cold DMs and emails.

Someone asked about tricks for meeting eminent people. I said the best plan is just to do really good work. Then you'll tend to meet them organically. In the worst case you'll see one whenever you look in the mirror.

If you don't want to waste money when buying a UK used iPhone, you should test the following important components on the phone before paying: 1. Check the battery health and be sure it's not boosted. At least original 83 BH 2. Check all the cameras to be sure it's working fine
