You know what’s disgraceful, Premier Smith? Your obvious and unethical support for the fringe separatists to whom you are politically beholden, that’s what. You have put your political self interest ahead of the interests of Albertans and Canadians. THAT is what is disgraceful!
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith fired back at First Nations chiefs for accusing her of treason saying it was "disgraceful." The chiefs voted unanimously at a Calgary meeting to call for an RCMP investigation into Smith and the UCP over a fall separatism vote. aptnnews.ca?p=290028

Because they don't value democracy, they like authoritarians, they just want one on the left. Ukraine isn't a wedge issue in the USA that they can use to bash dems non stop. Also, supporting Ukraine means supporting the west, and they can't be seen doing that.

Because they all supported Russia's invasion and wanted Ukraine to capitulate but they realize saying that out loud makes them look massively hypocritical. Especially since they've dedicated their entire lives to a different foreign conflict.
Why is every DSA candidate so cagey about Ukraine. There has never been a more clear cut country to support than Ukraine. If you valued democracy at all you should be unequivocal in your support of them.

“I don’t want characters to grow.” I don’t how else to put this, but that means you have an infantile love of a creation and are afraid to see change. Character growth is one of the most important aspects of storytelling and almost always necessary for quality storytelling.

WOW. Big news. The Assembly of Treaty Chiefs just dropped a bomb on Danielle Smith. Treaty 6, 7 & 8. United. Unanimously calling for an RCMP and Auditor General investigation into whether the Premier and her UCP government committed TREASON under Section 46 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The Chiefs met on Treaty 7 territory in Calgary on June 16 and voted as one — pushing a separation referendum that puts Canada’s sovereignty at risk, trampling the Treaty relationship, ignoring privacy violations affecting millions, and opening the door to foreign interference. That’s the case they’re laying out. And they’re going back to the source. When Treaty was signed, the Northwest Mounted Police — now the RCMP — made a promise: protect First Nations, protect these Territories. The Crown guaranteed peace and goodwill in exchange for sharing this land. The Chiefs are saying: eff around and find out. #TreatyRights #Treaty6 #Treaty7 #Treaty8 #AlbertaSeparation

Good move. The more public pressure, coming from every possible angle, and the more media coverage it generates, the better! Whatever Danielle Smith's real agenda, it benefits no one - not First Nations, Albertans or Canadians - living and working in Alberta.

I never called you far-right, not sure why you’re defending yourself against something that wasn’t said — and pretty defensively/sarcastically, too! You haven’t hidden your ties to Build Toronto. I’m not sure it’s as obvious to the public that Build Toronto is an offshoot of a billionaire-backed project for tech bros to try to influence our policy (something their deep pockets allow them to have outsized ability to do). At least one of those billionaire tech bros has tweeted supporting you publicly. I think people deserve to have that laid out, and the fact that you’re reacting this defensively validates that belief.

The end of Hockey Night in Canada is more than just the end of a television show. Hockey Night in Canada was something uniquely Canadian. Now it is gone. A piece of our cultural tapestry now in the dustbin of history.

Canada is the first non-European nation to join SAFE — the EU’s joint defence readiness initiative — and we’re already seeing results. Because we joined, Montréal-based Marconi Technologies will build made-in-Canada tactical radios for the Polish Cyber Command. This contract is worth more than $10 million and will benefit nearly 100 Canadian suppliers, their workers, and their families.

To any Vegas idiot who is trying to dox the survivor of the #HockeyCanada 2018 World Juniors gang-rape/sexual assault, we will be sending screenshots to the #RCMP. In Canada, if you dox a protected person, you will receive jail time. Even if you got it wrong, you showed intent.

Even if they got it wrong, we will still be reporting it all to the RCMP and they can investigate it as malicious intent. I don’t think Americans understand how serious of a crime that is here.

Emulation and piracy are two completely different things. Emulation is a software designed to mimic a console’s hardware, and is generally legal since you can use a physical game disc with said software to play the designated game. mcneelylaw.com/understanding-… retrocomputing.stackexchange.com/questions/1950…

Disgusting. HNIC has been on the public broadcaster since 1931. Canadians pay for the CBC and hockey is our national sport. To take that access away from so many Canadians is reprehensible.

The "I f***ing love Science" crowd turning on the man who popularized the electric car in America and out-rocket-launches NASA by orders of magnitude because of politics is a funny twist. Maybe they don't really f***ing love science that much

What do you mean? Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?"
