This week saw nurses and health care staff being targeted. I will support all nurses and health service workers. I report on their work almost daily - NI’s needs every single one of them. I attended today’s rally to support ALL health staff as they are incredible.

We welcome today’s updated draft guidance from @NICEcomms, which recommends that anyone with type 1 diabetes who is pregnant or at the planning stages should be offered a pregnancy-specific hybrid closed loop (HCL) system. Managing T1D during pregnancy can be complex and demanding, and could present serious risk to both parent and baby if glucose levels are too high or low. However, clinical trials show pregnancy-specific HCL systems can help people maintain better time in range throughout pregnancy. Manisha, 39, used a HCL throughout her pregnancy. “For a long time I told myself having a baby wasn’t something I could do. The fear felt overwhelming.
