Too dumb for Huntsville, too ugly for Fairhope.

Wife called me out on "having your nose stuck up in the air" here. No, I get it. It stinks (literally and figuratively). But I can't walk past the irony of our Gulf enjoyment curtailed by ... the Gulf. youtu.be/bumuMmYzF-A?si=3yjj…

Suddenly, even TrumpCovidBidenTrumpAgainIranflation gas prices seem ... only moderately absurd.

I for one, am in favor of more varieties of taxation. 7 different additional government charges hardly seems like enough for an Uber ride. I wasn't even congested that day.

Glad they wiped Bundy references, but still. It's like somebody took the "doing things in real life is more mentally healthy than doing things online" mantra as a challenge.
It’s hard to escape on local social media —ads and posts for an upcoming pop-up speakeasy all about serial killers, including Ted Bundy, whose Tallahassee rampage still scars many in town. wctv.tv/2026/06/02/backlash-…

Obviously, this is enough room so that it's not batter/runner's interference. But the subtle gamesmanship comes with a risk: Catchers are taught to really chunk that mask. (Also, nice grab, Mr. Blue.)

One out, two great catches 😌

Bob Horner famously had several seasons shortened by injuries. How good was he when he was in the lineup? For his career he had 162-game averages of 35 HRs and 109 RBIs. Reggie Jackson's were 32 and 103.*

Obviously, Reggie played twice as long and had a longer production decline etc. etc. The point here is that when Horner stepped into the box, that's the level of threat he was to take you deep.

2016 Twitter would’ve had a dozen “Chadwick Tromp’s Sunflower Seed” accounts by now.
Chadwick Tromp with sunflower seeds stuck to his head after a walk off hit in the bottom of the 11th is main character energy 🔥 #braves

Hot enough to melt the glorious polystyrene clamshell-shaped box the Big Mac came in. (We can probably still find intact ones in landfills in order to test my theory).
If you are under a certain age, let me assure you this apple pie was served at the surface temperature of the planet Mercury.

This is solid as a most iconic list (not greatest). But don’t go to sleep on Joe Garagiola for either list. Ahead of his time with relaxed analysis and just SOUNDED like baseball.

The merry-go-round brings two memories. In one, I'm a 7-year-old hanging off of it, standing in the middle, even running on it as it whizzed around. In the other, I'm an adult making it a quarter turn before lying down to dictate my last will and testament.
Therapist: Did you experience any anxiety when you were a child? Me: Well……..

Never stop asking government to justify spending your money and to justify what it's doing with its time and effort. If it's a stupid question then it's an easy justification.
.@POTUS destroys ABC Fake News reporter: "It's such a stupid question that you ask. We're fixing up the Reflecting Pond to the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and you say, 'Why are you fixing it up?' Because you can understand dirt maybe better than I can—but I don't allow it."

RIP former Atlanta Braves broadcaster John Sterling, who also called quite a few Yankees games as he neared the end of his career.

We've heard @BrandonGaudin, among others, really be able to perform with a variety of color/analyst personalities to get the most out of the broadcast. And, wow, did Summerall have to have to pull it back to have the right touch with Madden.
Wish we could do this just one more time.

This is one of the first politician interviews I've watched in 15 years that didn't make me want to gouge my eyeballs out with a rusty potato rake. What's impressive about @BenSasse is that he's so smart that he isn't consumed with telling you he's smarter than.
Every American should watch every second of this video. Thank you, @BenSasse.
