ImROC is calling for a National Strategy for Peer Support after 10 years of working alongside organizations to introduce it. Stay tuned for our next few posts as we unpack our learnings and announce a UK First Event! #mentalhealth#peersupport
💡 It was only today that ImROC Lead Consultants met to discuss the the Visions and Values of ImROC as we dare to dream of how support could look over the next 5 years and how ImROC will commit to advocating within these spaces.
💡 The real expertise and innovation came from grass roots services that had pioneered in offering Peer Support. It is this expertise that we must hold at the heart of Peer Work to maintain and celebrate the integrity within statutory services.
ImROC's 8 core values guide peer support workers towards respecting and uplifting others in their work. A safe and progressive environment utilising personal strengths without judgement #imroc#peersupport
🌍New WHO and UN mental health guidance promotes a shift away from the biomedical model, aligning with ImROC's values.
