Image 1: Cells grown in 100% sports drink with 10% FBS. Image 2: same, but 90:10 drink:DMEM.
Most of the cell are unhappy, but some are very much alive in 100%. In 90%? Totally happy.
Will do live/dead staining tomorrow so they'll have had a full 48 hours.

The sunniest place in the UK in winter 2024 was the Moray coast, with upwards of 220 hours.
BUT, winter has 2184 hours, meaning that just 10% of the total hours had sun. Spare a thought for Lochaber & Glen Coe, though, where the sun shone just 3.7% of the total hours.
