Whenever I tweet about Greta Thunberg, I get non-disabled people replying they “find it difficult to see her as disabled.” It’s meant as a compliment but what they’re really saying is: “I equate disability with weakness and failure so can’t see a brilliant woman as disabled.”
ALT I’m 100% behind Greta Thunberg but find it very difficult to see her as disabled! If her autism means anything, it adds to her power.
