The General Electric LAV-AD introduced in the mid-1980s with Blazer 30 turret, originally developed for the Bradley Blazer Heavy/FAADS proposal. It featured the more powerful 30mm GAU-13/A cannon, Shorts Javelin SAM, and an RA-20S radar, with options for RBS-70 or Stinger pods.
