A day after a power outage disrupted Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s press conference in Jaipur, the Rajasthan government ordered an inquiry into the incident.
The press conference, held at the BJP’s state office, was organised to highlight 12 years of the Narendra Modi government and mark the Prime Minister’s record 4,399 days of continuous service as an elected PM.
According to officials, a gas leak in a circuit breaker led to the tripping of two transformers, affecting power supply for nearly 15 minutes. Power was later restored through alternate transformers.
Rajasthan Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar said an inquiry committee has been formed and strict action will be taken if any negligence is found. The committee will investigate the cause of the disruption and recommend measures to prevent similar incidents.
