Today’s recommended reading: this fantastic, in-depth post by @yoavw on security considerations for rollups and fault proofs. Yoav’s contributions to Optimism security research have proven invaluable as we build Cannon.
Optimistic Time Traveling for fun and profit!
New classes of attacks against optimistic rollups, demonstrated on Optimism's old OVM 1.
Bridge projects, this should be part of your risk model.

Focus of upcoming GSN v3 release is improving support for rollups and cheap EVM networks. Also a long tail of bugfixes. Changelog: hackmd.io/QOwnCIY8SAK0FFDEH2…
You can now build on top of ERC-4337 and start testing live on Goerli! Proud to present our work at @nethermind in collaboration with @opengsn and @VitalikButerin. Especially great thank you to @jmederos98 at Nethermind (great talent).

I'm super excited about the possibilities that EIP-4337 can bring to Ethereum. You can read where we are and the future of account abstraction here!

wondering what you can do with erc-4337's account abstraction?
imagine being able to store ALL your eth in a @iearnfinance vault, then having your smart contract wallet automatically remove just enough to pay for gas costs whenever you transact.

Why is Account Abstraction important? How did it start? What is the endgame? Our very own Nethermind gigabrain @ismael_eth explains!

ERC4337: account abstraction
“…if this proposal gets universally adopted, no further work on the execution layer needs to be done for quantum-safety. Users can individually upgrade their wallets to quantum-safe ones.”

1/ ERC 4337 adds account abstraction to the Eth L1 via a new app layer standard instead of requiring a protocol change.
I'm bullish on the idea that app infrastructure will continue to become adopted via app layer standards or libraries instead of using specialized L1s or L2s.
hey! basically smart contract wallet transactions need to be initiated by a simple (dumb) account. Now instead of having this simple account yourself and keep it filled with eth, you ask the miner to initiate these transactions and, in return, take some money from your account
