šŸ“Œ The #ShapingUs National Symposium Social and emotional life skills do not receive enough attention, either during early childhood or throughout the rest of our lives. In fact, for many adults, the only time they are encouraged and supported to work on these skills, is at some sort of crisis point – when things have gone so far that psychological intervention is required, or rehabilitation, or prison. It is therefore time we understood that building a healthier world means nurturing the foundations that support our children – everything from the systems that govern early care through to our attitudes to those raising the next generation, and the support they receive. @Earlychildhood

The language we use is important and has the power to frame decision making. That’s why we should be #IncludingInfants when we talk about Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health. Babies’ and toddlers’ mental health matters too. #IMHAW21

Welcome to all the new local and national leaders taking office after the elections. The Greater Manchester Perinatal and Parent Infant Mental Health Model is a great example of what regional leadership can achieve for babies and families: gmmh.nhs.uk/news/greater-man…

Listening to the launch of the @MMHAlliance #MaternalPandemic report. A common story - Risk was ONLY thought about in terms of risks of COVID, not wider risks to families.
