Plans released for a $16 billion mile-long ship capable of carrying 80,000 people. The 'Freedom Ship' would be home to about 50,000 people, with space for 10,000 tourists and 20,000 crew members. "The Freedom Ship is envisioned as a permanently mobile city at sea designed for long-term residence rather than short-term travel," the company says. The ship would be about 8 times the size of the current largest ship in the world, the Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas. The plans include a 15,000-seat stadium, schools, colleges, shops, clubs, a water park, a music hall, museums, parks, and more. The ship, which would run on nuclear, would be too large to dock and would remain in international waters. Freedom Cruise International says it would go around the world every two to three years. Donald Hoffman (@donalddhoffman) is a cognitive scientist at UC Irvine who has spent 40 years building a mathematical theory of the observer. He studied under Marvin Minsky at MIT, spent two decades secretly meeting with Francis Crick to study consciousness, and has nine specific mathematical conjectures on the table that would derive general relativity, quantum field theory and the Big Bang from a single framework. The top high-energy physicists in the world, Nima Arkani-Hamed and Nobel laureate David Gross, are already saying spacetime is doomed. Hoffman thinks he knows what replaces it. This interview is the first time he has publicly laid out what his mathematical model explains about alien life, embodiment and the structure of reality. It already derives time dilation and quantum wave functions directly from differences in observer window size. Physics has spent a century failing to solve the measurement problem because it has been looking in the wrong place. The observer has to come first, and no physicalist framework can get you there. A consciousness with a larger observer window has access to the underlying structure of our reality in ways we can't perceive or counter. A craft going Mach 40 instantaneously in our headset could be a leisurely maneuver in theirs. The implications for UAP and alien life are immense. Embodiment, being locked into a body with fingers and toes as your only interface with the world, is a probability zero anomaly in the full space of possible minds. He also says current large language models are dumber than cucumbers. His new framework, the recursive trace logic, is a completely different architecture, and some of the biggest names in frontier AI have already come to him about it. The framework has no ceiling, and the implication is a single unified consciousness exploring itself through an unbounded number of perspectives, each one capable of waking up. NEW: The missing UFO-linked Air Force general had a meeting with an unidentified woman and members of the US Space Force just hours before he went missing. William Neil McCasland, who was linked to classified UFO programs, vanished on February 27. According to new bodycam audio, McCasland had dinner with members of the US Space Force the night before he disappeared. "He has a very classified security clearance. He was the head of Air Force Research Lab... The man's names are in the UFO documents that are fixed to be released," the woman said in audio obtained by Law & Crime. "He's been that in-depth, so he has a very high security clearance..." According to UFO whistleblower David Grusch, McCasland was considered "hostile" and had not been cooperative with lawmakers. "They already have the list of some of these hostile folks that ran those programs. Unfortunately, one of those individuals, Major General retired Neil McCasland, is currently missing, which is very concerning to me as well," Grusch previously said.
