Yet, federal meddling has held us back: projects like Northern Gateway and Energy East were scrapped due to endless regulations and opposition, costing us market access and jobs. Even TMX, with its $34 billion price tag ballooning under federal ownership, was a taxpayer-funded bailout, much of it from our own contributions, while delays and overruns hurt everyone. Independence means controlling our pipelines, our exports, and our destiny, without begging for approvals or subsidizing the rest of the country. He announced his resignation back in November, and hasn't worked a day as an MP since then. They both flew to Edmonton, as a theatrical show of unity towards Albertan. They did a press conference with a handful of photographers and then both returned to their respective homes. Neither of them care about Alberta or Albertans.
