Female primary school teachers in Luxembourg are called "Joffer", and are adressed so by the kids as well (so "Joffer Anna", "Joffer Marie" etc). The term originally designated unmarried women, and it stems from a time when it was prohibited for married women to be teachers.

Well...not in a real sense (and especially not in the ways it's being used as a buzzword).
In short, I believe rule "for/by/of the people" is fundamentally a fairy tale, but representative democracy is currently the "least bad" system that we've come up with so far.

The "Unio'n vun de Fräiheetsorganisatiounen" (Union of Freedom Organisations) was founded in 1944, as a merger of 3 main resistance organisations.
