The strangest part of modern politics is that we're expected to be grateful for surviving crises our leaders helped create.
The same people who spent days telling us escalation was unavoidable are now taking victory laps because diplomacy prevailed.
Peace is good.
But Americans should always ask: if this was the destination, why did we take the road to the brink of war to get there?

BREAKING: A Pakistani PM tweet is not a signed treaty.
There are enough independent reports to suggest serious negotiations are happening, but “framework agreed,” “final text,” and “peace deal signed” are not the same thing.
In geopolitics, the most dangerous word is often imminent. Let’s wait for signatures before declaring either peace or World War III.

Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland.
We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard.
With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony.

💠 مرکز ناوگان پنجم دریایی آمریکا مورد تهاجم موشکی و پهپادی نیروی هوافضای سپاه قرار گرفت
روابط عمومی سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی:
بسم الله القاصم الجبارین
فَمَنِ اعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُوا عَلَيْهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا اعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ
🔹️در اواخر شب گذشته ارتش متجاوز آمریکا یک نفتکش ایرانی را در حوالی تنگه هرمز مورد اصابت پرتابه هوایی قرار داد که این نفتکش از محل موتورخانه دچار خسارت گردید.
🔹️در پاسخ به این تجاوز و نقض مقررات تنگه هرمز شناور متعلق به دشمن آمریکایی صهیونی به نام پانایا مورد هدف موشک های نیروی دریایی سپاه قرار گرفت.
🔹️دشمن آمریکایی در تجاوزی مجدد یک دکل مخابراتی سپاه در جنوب جزیره قشم را هدف پرتابه های هوایی خود قرار داد در پاسخ به این تجاوز پایگاه هوایی و بالگردی آنان مستقر در یکی از کشورهای منطقه و همچنین مرکز ناوگان پنجم دریایی آمریکا مورد تهاجم موشکی و پهپادی نیروی هوافضای سپاه قرار گرفتند.
🔹️پیش از این اخطار داده بودیم که در صورت تجاوز پاسخ متفاوت و سنگین تر خواهد بود و همینطور اقدام کردیم. این پاسخ ها باید عبرت شده باشد.
🔹️ تکرار می کنیم برهم زدن امنیت تنگه هرمز تاوان سختی برای ارتش متجاوز آمریکا خواهد داشت.

According to U.S. President Donald J. Trump, at the request of Pakistan, Project Freedom, the U.S.-led framework to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, will be paused in an attempt to finalize a deal with Iran. Iran responded to the commencement of the framework by declaring a new control area in the strait and resuming limited strikes on shipping and some of their Gulf neighbors.

BREAKING: "Project Freedom" has escalated into a direct exchange of fire.
Iranian state media (Fars News) reports two missiles struck a US Navy frigate near Jask after the ship allegedly ignored warnings to exit the Strait. This incident follows Trump’s announcement that the Navy would begin "guiding" trapped vessels out of the waterway by force this morning.

Someone hit the refinery on Lavan Island barely an hour after the ceasefire started and it feels like a textbook final salvo. I've seen this play out in the news so many times before—where both sides agree to one last "off the table" strike just so they can walk into the negotiations claiming they got the final word.
The U.S. gets to look tough one last time and Iran gets more leverage to demand those $2 million ship fees for reconstruction. Total speculation, but the timing is just too perfect to be an accident. It's almost like the handshake in Islamabad required one more explosion to seal the deal.

We spent 40 days bombing Iran into the dirt, sent billions in munitions into their cities, and lost 15 of our own only to end up agreeing to a peace plan where they keep their nukes and we pay them a toll to use the ocean.
Trump went from a whole civilization will die tonight to helping them rebuild in less than four hours. If the end of this war is us subsidizing their reconstruction while they charge our ships $2 million a pop to pass through the Strait, then we lost. Plain and simple. We traded American blood and the lives of thousands of civilians, including those 170 girls vaporized in a school in Minab, just to give Tehran a massive payday and a stronger hand at the table. It is a disgrace.

We used to prosecute people at Nuremberg for less.
I don't know when we became the bad guys but someone needs to say it out loud. This is a war crime and the man who ordered it is posting about it on social media with a blessing attached.
