Bay City Roller adds a second Group 1 to his CV with a 10l victory over a stellar field in the Coronation Cup for owner @Victorious_xiii After the race jockey @oismurphy said: "These are his ideal conditions, and it is amazing from the horse and the stable for him to come here in such good form after running a previous career best at @curraghrace only 13 days ago. "He felt fresh to post and in the race he was push button – he is a great example of the stallion." Bay City Roller's trainer @GScottracing has a definite plan in mind for the 4yo . "He stays so well, 1m4f on soft ground is his bread and button - I think the Arc is his race."

Laura Pearson judges pace and conditions to perfection to make all on Sparks Fly to win the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes for owner-breeder David Lowe and trainer @DaveLoughnane_ The 6yo daughter of @HarasMontaigu's stallion Muhaarar has run 27 times, Pearson has ridden her on 21 of those starts. It is a second Group 3 victory for the mare – the first came on very soft ground @salisburyraces. She also has four Listed wins to her name, and they have all come on heavy going. Pearson said: "We do the same every time she runs, and I have never felt so confident about one going into a race, there was never a doubt in my mind. "This filly always hangs left so there was no point in going to the top rail only up to roll back down again. She loves being out in front, and she likes her own company as she has just proven there today. "I had a couple of checks and a furlong and a half out I knew I had them covered."

Winning trainer Katie Scott, who ran the @LondonMarathon this spring in aid of @Racingwelfare , said: "Stephen of Summerstorm Bloodstock picked her out in the @tatts_online November Sale. "She came from Alice Haynes' yard and was recommended by previous owner. Alice had done a great job with her, and the filly has just got faster & faster since she has come to us. "Today was the plan, but I guess later later this summer we will see if we can get a bit of black-type." Naana's Shadow cost 20,000gns last November.
